Matt — Reds at Thousand Oaks
Matt and I both shared the same excitement for the salmon.
The day I took this picture with Matt was only his fourth day serving at Reds! Before then, he was a food runner, and that is so amazing to hear, because I have been wanting to mention how grateful I am for food runners. They are just as important to making the kitchen run smoothly, and the responsibility of getting the proper orders to the right tables can be confusing at times. Matt's transition into serving was so smooth, I thought he had been serving for years. He was alert, patient, and very helpful in communicating with the chef in the kitchen and back to me.
I asked him why he enjoyed serving, to which he shared with me his beautiful testimony. "I enjoy having a servant mentality. My faith in Jesus and his example make me want to be a better servant for others." To me, this shows that Matt is on a path of love, and I truly believe that path will always lead you exactly where you need to go in life.
Matt's fun fact is that he can play the violin. Matt if you're as dedicated to your instrument as you are to your service, I am sure that is something we would all enjoy listening to. Reds at Thousand Oaks is lucky to have you. Check them out!
