One Brunch Please
I normally wouldn't get two entrees, but I skipped breakfast and did not want to wait for lunch. So I had both and called it brunch.
Sometimes I like to look at the pictures on the google page of restaurants if I am unsure what to eat. I will find the first thing that looks like I would regret not eating and for this restaurant. That happened to be the chicken and waffles. I wanted something to satisfy my breakfast needs while also being on the savory side. I classified this meal as my breakfast. Anything is breakfast if you eat it in the morning. Here at Jandroz we really enjoy supporting local businesses as it is our way of being a part of the community. So if there are no appetizers or desserts I will just get two entrees.
The chicken and waffles looked just as good as they did in that picture. The chicken was hot, delicate and peeled away easily. The flavor quite honestly surprised me in the sense that it was balanced. The savory chicken was perfect to offset the sweetness of the waffles . The waffles were soft and sweet with just the right amount of syrup. Just because a dish is simple does not mean it is not worth enjoying. I ate the whole thing. Yummy.
For my lunch I has the French dip. A classic and simple sandwich. The fries were salted nicely and had the classic diner fry taste. The sandwich itself was simple and easy to eat. This is the type of place you could invite family to and just enjoy some good, simple, and classic meals.
I really like the feeling of classic diner looking restaurants. There is a different type of life that comes from within those walls. Part of it comes with the group of regulars enjoying their breakfast and enjoying their time. The other half being the nostalgia of restaurants that are just meant to be easy, simple, and kind.
